Glaucoma
Glaucoma is a series of eye illnesses in which the optic nerve is injured and the visual field is permanently lost. Increased intraocular pressure causes optic nerve injury, however it can also happen with a normal IOP. Glaucoma involves increased pressure in the eye, which causes visual field deterioration and eventually vision loss. Make an appointment with your ophthalmologist. - Hyperopia (high myopia) is a condition in which a person’s vision is blur

What method is used to detect it?
- Tonometry is the measurement of intraocular pressure (tension) in the eye.
- Gonioscopy is the examination of the eye’s drainage angle.
- Optic nerve injury is assessed via ophthalmoscopy.
- Perimetry is the measurement of each eye’s visual field.
- OCT stands for Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)

- Drops for the eyes
- Medications Taken Orally
- Laser
- Glaucoma valve / shunt surgery
