Squint

A Squint is a condition in which both eyes are not aligned with one another. It is most frequent in newborns and children, although it can happen to anybody at any age. Adults are also susceptible to the disease.

Early Signs:

  • Eyes appear to be crossed or misaligned.
  • The eyes don’t really appear to move in unison.
  • Blinking / squinting on a regular basis
  • Looking around with a tilted head
  • Doubtful perception
  • Either or both eyes have poor vision.

Treatment Involves:

  • Spectacles
  • Correction of prisms

Surgery:

The surgery’s goal is to tighten or loosen certain eye muscles so that the eyes can be realigned.
