Diabetic retinopathy is the most common cause of blindness in the world. It damages the retina’s blood vessels (the eye’s innermost layer), resulting in retinal damage and visual impairment.
Symptoms:-
A complete eye examination is required for the detection of diabetic retinopathy. The retina of the eye is examined by doing a fundoscopy after dilating the pupils. If diabetic retinopathy is detected further OCT and FFA are done to confirm the diagnosis and see the extent of the disease.
